Blended Learning with Special Needs Kindergarten/First Grade Students

Hi Everyone,

I am completing my Master's Degree in Instructional Media and Design and working on a project that uses the blended learning model. I am working with special needs kindergarten and first grade students. I am trying to determine if incorporating games within instruction will increase motivation and learning. I have done lots of research and wanted to know if anyone has any experience with the blended learning with special need students? Also I am looking for any online assessments for this age level.

Great idea Nichole!! This would surely make kids grab their attentions and also motivate them for the learning process as well. In my school, a teacher opined for a similar idea and for the past academic session we took this as demo or you may say as trial and we found kids enjoying the learning process very much. So, post this holidays we are planning to make it as a part of our curriculum.

Hi Oscar!!  Is there a particular program are you using and what grade?
