The Educator's PLN

The personal learning network for educators

Hey All,

This is my first time posting in here!  I am currently going to school to get my masters in Tech Ed and we are discussing the ideas of Flat Classrooms & Project Based Learning.  Everyone I've talked to that has used project based learning & flat classrooms really seem to enjoy the results.  However I know that everything is a struggle at the beginning & every new endeavor has a "wow" moment (or the moment when you know what your doing is working).  What I am really interested is in what the "wow" moments have been for anyone who has applied the Flat Classroom & Project Based Learning principles in their districts, schools, or classrooms.

Hi, Amy.  Katy from CTER here.  Funny to "find" you here.

Interesting question - I don't have a "wow" to share with you, but I did find this video on using Edmodo for project based learning.  Hope it helps:

I wish I had had knowledge of this before I had my students do their PBL.

Perhaps my most important "wow" moment was first trying to do a voice thread with one of my students.  The revelation that I really didn't have to be proficient at it do engage my students was extremely motivating to continue on my journey to engage students in project based learning.  Goodluck with your masters.  I just finished mine.
