GeoShare Wiki for Integrating Geography Resources into K-12 Lesson Plans

Hello,
I wanted to share a request and a great site from a classmate of mine:

>>

I'm creating a geography education wiki called GeoShare (geoshare.wikispaces.com), that intends to collect resources for teaching geography, GIS, and spatial analysis ideas to K-12 students, particularly lesson material that can be taught in non-geography classes. I've created a few wiki pages to start things off, but if you have some time to look over it, give suggestions, or suggest a webpage to be added, I'd really appreciate it. Or, if you want to create your own wiki page of some source, you'd be my new best friend! So yeah, thank you for having a look. I appreciate your time. https://geoshare.wikispaces.com/

WiDA Screener 2.0

I am an ESOL teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools in Fairfax, VA.  I work in an Entry Assessment Office and we use the WiDA Screener to identify students who are eligible for ESOL services.  I'm hoping to connect with other teachers who use the WiDA Screener to begin a discussion about its strengths, weaknesses, etc.  Hope to hear back from you!Joe HarrisSee More
