The personal learning network for educators

Once Nelson Mandela said that, Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Only education has the power to make a person capable of taking wise and good decisions, and only your decisions can make your future bright or dark. Studies have shown that in a child, vast majority of neurons are developed between birth and age of three. In these days a child's brain peak capacity to retain new information is high. They are more receptive to information at a young age, so they are good learners at this age.

This is a very good illustration. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing it with us.

The normal human brain shows great receptivity till age of 4 and it's said that the things that child learns during those years stay long in terms of habit. As you said about the attention span which only develops during the early years of learning. The behavioral aspect also shows a good improvement for the early learners. They begin to correlate things in a better way as well.

I have worked in Early Childhood Education for over 15 years before switching to working with children with emotional disorders and I fully agree with this study. All of the children in my group with emotional disorders lacked quality parent involvement and care during the first 3 years of their life. These children were unable to enjoy activities like reading books together, playing with educational toys, or just being cared for in a safe and loving environment. This lack of involvement in the early years made it difficult for these children to function successfully in a school environment and for most it will be a life-long battle to become productive citizens.

Is Online Learning The Answer For The Coronavirus Closed Schools?

With the rapid spread of the Corona Virus, there has been a clarion call for schools to close and immediately shift to online learning in the interest of health and safety. With all that has been written and talked about in regard to “online learning” over the last decade, the perception is that now is a great time to put tech to work and implement this modern methodology to address our current situation and limit face-to-face exposure in order to self-quarantine a huge portion of our…See More
