Media Literacy is a 21st-century approach to education. Media literacy is a repertoire of competencies that enable people to analyze, evaluate, and create messages in a wide variety of media modes, genres, and formats. Media literacy entails things as varied as advertising, agenda-setting, bias, critical inquiry, propaganda, representation, media ownership, visual literacy, film literacy, television, radio, the Internet, magazines, newspapers, and so much more.
