How do you scaffold and develop inquiry?  How do you teach the knowledge, skills, and understandings of each discipline?  Is there a project-based approach in your school?  How does the work at your school compare/contrast to High Tech High in California?  How do you create an environment where students "own learning" and find their passion?  I teach in a first grade classroom where I'm in the process of creating a learning environment and transforming education to look like what's going on in your school.  I'm thrilled to have an opportunity to understand the how you developed this in your school.

You've talked about how your current students select the incoming class at SLA. Can you expand on how this process works? Do students develop interview questions/rubric/etc? How/Why did you arrive at this system? Thanks!

Your passion and enthusiasm for education is motivating and I thoroughly enjoyed your TED talk. I was wondering if you could address environmental initiatives that coincide with the education transformation. Perhaps how the school can become sustainable or what's being done in your community or network. Thanks!

I live in a small town in the middle of the Arizona. It is perfect.

Next month I get to address a large contingent of local middle school teachers regarding schooling. Part of my talk wonders about "technology" and education and how the two are, or are becoming, inseparable. Yet, by many, they are still seen as two different things. I don't think that helps how we educate today. Any thoughts on conveying this message? Is it the right message? Or one of them?

Here is working draft of what I want to sell: The Whole Classroom Still working on it....
