Have people seen TeacherZone - it's free and has thousands of math video lessons. All are 3-5 minutes long - perfect for sharing with kids and parents. They seem to have videos for all math topics for K-12.

Check it out at http://teacher.tenmarks.com.

Greetings Edtechers. Would anyone like to collaborate on Iditarod with a 2nd grade class? We follow the race and the individual racers.

I am investigating how to best educate each student to a level of learning that exceeds her or his aptitude and how to achieve that goal for all students. I believe ICT has a key role to play in attaining this goal.

Hello - I don't know if anyone is interested in tech and higher/adult education applications, but I just started a group here and hope I can find some people to join for some discussion! The group has the same name as the topic :) Hope to see some of you there if appropriate.

Self-Regulation: Getting Our Students To Care

I think all educators can agree that we want our students to become better self-regulated learners. However, this is a daunting task for teachers. I've spent a great deal of time trying to teach my grade 6 students various self-regulation skills such as planning, goal-setting, self-monitoring, time management, self-control, and reflection, but in past years it hasn't quite "taken" the way I hoped it would. School boards and individual teachers are seeking out new ways to improve and maintain their own learning process. Teachers with a passion for their career are routinely discovering innovative ways to brush up on skills, and to develop new methods for delivering information.
