Gene Rampenthal said… - Actually I'm an Illinoisan who lives far enough north in Illinois (Lena) that we made frequent forays into Wisconsin. We often went to Monroe. I love the Kettle Moraine area around East Troy. One of my main concerns with education in America is the stifling effect of high stakes testing. I also believe the single most effective way to improve our schools is to reduce class size rather than invest in expensive programs and palatial schools.

- Hello, Jessica, My wife and I have some fond memories from the area around Milwaukee. We met at New Tribes Bible Institute in Waukesha and became engaged when we worked at a Camp Timberlee near East Troy. Much of my elementary teaching experience was in southeast Asia teaching missionaries children.
