my principal wants to spend less than $50 on a technology item for teachers. what would you recommend besides flash drives?

Is there such a thing as an ipad stylus so that you could use something like splashtop remote and run your laptop with smart board or interwrite software and use the ipad as a wireless tablet but still see your computer screen and what you are writing on the ipad itself?
