Gender Gap

Posted on August 26, 2010 at 2:04am 0 Comments

I have been doing some reading on the gender gap between boys and girls in literacy and the continuing trend that boys demonstrate a lack of motivation and are less engaged when it comes to reading and writing. In my grade 3 class, 3/4 of the students are boys. I am reflecting on my own teaching practice as I continue researching the topic and the various suggestions. I'd like to hear from anyone who has thoughts on the issue or has come across a good research article.

Is Online Learning The Answer For The Coronavirus Closed Schools?

With the rapid spread of the Corona Virus, there has been a clarion call for schools to close and immediately shift to online learning in the interest of health and safety. With all that has been written and talked about in regard to “online learning” over the last decade, the perception is that now is a great time to put tech to work and implement this modern methodology to address our current situation and limit face-to-face exposure in order to self-quarantine a huge portion of our…See More
