Dr. James Tarwater, Superintendent of Lake Tahoe USD, "Lake TahoeUSD pays $39.95 per Netbook" and will soon be a totally 1 to 1 computing school board from Grades 3 to 12. The Board will provide the hardware and cellular access for every child in the district. Does this mean 'equitable access across all levels'? Has Seymour Papert's prediction come true... a desktop for every desk at $25 per computer.
