A Visit from USA EMBASSY officer to my school

It is 4.15 pm now in Malaysia.I just had an interesting visitor from USA Embassy officer. The officer is Malaysian and he is contemplating to put my school into consideration to benefit from USA EMBASSY charitable educational programmes.Previously, the embassy had only taken middle schools and high schools under its wings. So,now they are thinking of candidate schools from elementary level. The embassy focuses on English Language Educational programmes by sponsoring teachers and students for e-courses among others.

The most interesting point he said to me was that sometimes they would sponsored education professors from US's universities to give talks to schools here in Malaysia.I was wondering (and still is) whether these professors are selected from members of ASCD or members of this website or any other relevant education groups.I suggested to him that it would be awesome if we could have principals (who are also Phd holders or candidate) who had successfully turn their failing school around or even those who has won educator's award, to be able to give talks in Malaysia.

Whatever is to be the outcome of the visit, I know it is going to be the start of a beautiful relationship.

This sounds like a wonderful idea! I am sure they will learn just as much from  you, as you will from them!
