Classroom activities: write poems using certain tenses

Here are the poems and short explanations of two students:

Katherine  Cross:

As a way to practice verb tenses, we were asked to write a poem. By doing this assignment I learned the proper way to use the conditional form, both in Spanish and in English. We had to manipulate different verbs in order for the poem to flow. On top of that, it was actually really fun to write because it allowed me to be creative. I chose to write mine on nature while others wrote about their past life, or thing they would change about themselves. If it had been just another assignment, I would not have understood the concepts as well.

Si fuera el aire
Yo podría ser libre
Bailaría con ángeles en el cielo
Y susurraría mi canción
Cuando el viento sopla

Si pudiera ser una montaña
Yo sería audaz
No me inclinaría a nadie

Me gustaría permanecerme
Para siempre...

Liz Aitkens:

Ever since school started getting difficult, I started to imagine what
my life would be life if I was born already knowing everything in the
world, so when Mr. Gatoux assigned us this project I knew exactly what I
wanted to do. When I started thinking about how my life could change and
how i could change the world, if I knew everything, so many thoughts
came to mind. This assignment was so much fun and it even helped me
learn the conditional tense in Spanish. Here's what I would do if I
could know everything in the world.

Is Online Learning The Answer For The Coronavirus Closed Schools?

With the rapid spread of the Corona Virus, there has been a clarion call for schools to close and immediately shift to online learning in the interest of health and safety. With all that has been written and talked about in regard to “online learning” over the last decade, the perception is that now is a great time to put tech to work and implement this modern methodology to address our current situation and limit face-to-face exposure in order to self-quarantine a huge portion of our…See More
