Designing an Intelligible Curriculum Growth Program for Toddlers

Curriculum plans are child-initiated programs that primarily aim at developing a well rounded environment that can support child learning. Designing a toddler development program gives children a chance to participate in selecting the content they want to learn.

Properly understanding the children being cared for is an integral step necessary for developing a rewarding curriculum plan. Do your part by keeping a record of your child’s interests, strengths, and weaknesses. This serves as a guide to the caretakers who handle your children.

From this initial stage, be ready to embrace change of curriculum plans. Curriculum plans should not be rigid. Change the curriculum as deemed necessary.

Quality curriculum plans have the following aspects:

  • Promote good teacher-guardian relationships. You should regularly communicate with your child’s tutor to ensure everything is running smoothly.

  • Values customary assessment. This helps you identify potential skills and talents concealed in your child. Moreover, it gives you a chance to realize the unique aspects each child possesses.

  • Befitting learning environment. The learning environment can be a deal breaker to your child’s interest in learning. The child’s learning environment should be stimulating. A child should to be motivated to develop certain skills through his environment. Most infants and toddlers are very curious in nature thus they’ll want to survey their surroundings. Customizing the learning environment by adding pictures to boost your child’s learning is a great idea.

  • Keeps time. It’s important to be timely with lunch, allowing them time to play and putting them to bed when it is time to sleep.

  • Speech development. The program has verbal talk sessions with the toddlers to boost speech development, encouraging toddlers to speak.
