Registration is now open for EdcampPlano which is scheduled for May 14, 2011 at the Sockwell Center from Professional Development in Plano, TX.

Registration opened Friday, April 1st at 6:00 AM and after one full day, the event has secured almost 100 attendees making it a third of the way full with capacity being set at 300. Numerous North Texas school districts will be represented at EdcampPlano and districts as far away as North East ISD in San Antonio, TX will be in attendance as well. Additional registrants will be traveling from Oklahoma and Kansas. EdcampPlano Organizers are very impressed with the early numbers, but not shocked, because they are aware of the passion educators in North Texas possess.

EdcampPlano is completely free, with all refreshments and other amenities provide solely through sponsorships and donations. There have already been a large number of both local and national organizations recognize the power of EdcampPlano. These organizations understand the pressures and challenges educators face today and want to partner with them in becoming the best they can be to further inspire students in their districts, schools and classrooms.
