The Educator's PLN

The personal learning network for educators

Below is a great example of a preschool teacher who uses Skype to connect with children all around the word. The children are learning a ton from this experience. I plan on doing some thing similar this coming Spring :)

I enjoyed the article!  It's great that, by using technology, we can connect with individuals all over the world.  Such a wonderful idea to use Skype with a preschool classroom.  I've used it with 2nd grade and they enjoyed it!  We were able to Skype Chris van Dusen, author of If I Built a Car. :)

I enjoyed this article. When I think about how Skype was used for the preschool classroom, I immediately began to think of ways it could be used in middle school. Why couldn't a science teacher Skype a scientist or engineer, a civics teacher a judge or lawyer, or literature teacher an author or poet or a newspaper writer. The possibilities and rewards for the students seem endless.
