The personal learning network for educators
I really enjoyed this article! The classroom that Mark is describing sounds incredibly successful and enjoyable for students. Students should be able to be in an environment where they are free to hold discussions, feel comfortable talking to their teacher about their grade, and are able to sit/lounge around the classroom while working collaboratively. Having students sit silently in rows of desks to work independently no longer works, and creating a choice-rich environment where children are able to make decisions about their learning is what works.
This is the kind of teacher I hope to be one day! What do you guys think?
