Hi Tom -- no worries about the spammer -- he didn't bother me at all. I just figured you'd like to know. Keep up the good fight! See you tomorrow on #edchat!
Thomas, thanks for featuring our China teaching group! Hopefully we will get more members! We've been busy but we've got some China story blog postings planned for EduPLN!
Hi Tom, Did you know that the edupln ning was shown by Karen Cator when she presented on the National Education Technology Plan at the Celebration of Teaching and Learning?
i'm sorry to bother u but i need u do me a favor. we all know that u created this website so can u tell me some information about it? for example , when was it created? why did u created it? thank u so much!
Thanks so much, Tom, for your assistance yesterday. As you see, I followed your advice. I signed up for a twitter account too. Probably won't do much with that yet, but it's a start!
I want to thank you for the prompt attention you paid to my request for membership. You facilitated the registration process and were very supportive through the NING password technical difficulty. I anticipate a great experience here in the EDU PLN.
Hi Tom,
Thank you for welcoming me with open arms into this amazing community of educators and thinkers! I'm really looking forward to learning with you and others.
Hello, i am now probing the field of PLN. And i am so interested in it. But i know not so much about it. Can you give me some advices on this topic? Thanks!
Thomas - regarding the potential move away from Ning...I can whip up a Joomla! site with a discussion forum that should do the trick. We can have individual profiles a la LinkedIn, link to slideshare, videos or other content that educators want to post/share! Let me know....Bhupesh

Thanks for the friend request Tom! I enjoy your blogs and your tweets. Quick question: What does it mean to be "featured" on the PLN?

Thanks professor! I've also been engaging more and more on Twitter. I'm not following over 800 educators, and I started following so many people today they had to cut me off. and it's only fifteen minutes in! I look forward to learning all sorts of things between Twitter, MethodsMatters and here. I never knew how much information was at my fingertips!
Had to go to a mandated "Beginning Teacher Assistance Program" today to update to my "lifetime" certificate and the instructor said something about how she wanted us all to develop a network from our colleagues in the room using an email list. I chuckled inside at the Twitter and Ning network I already enjoy.
Thank you so much Tom for all of the wonderful opportunities you have provided through twitter #edchat. A whole new world has blossomed before my eyes. I feel extremely fortunate that a colleague of mine turned me on to this whole scene. I feel complete re-engerized as a teacher...and it's not even Labor Day yet :)
Hi Tom
It was great seeing you last week at NASTEC. I think what you are doing with this PLN is terrific. Your network and its resources and connections to other educators have come just at the right time for me. Looking forward to staying in touch.

I've been intrigued by the language of "catch up" which has come from government ministers and even the Children's Commissioner. The idea that lockdown has resulted in lost learning and a widening of the gap can't be disputed but it is the solutions put forward by government which has revealed the reductive nature of the government's attitude to learning and to young people. To reduce education and learning to an accumulation of facts devoid from any contextual influence is just simply naive.…See More
