Event Description

Nominations are now open for the School-e Awards, showcasing the best K-12 district Web site design and strategy. Anyone with a valid e-mail address can nominate or vote for a school district by going to the contest Web site, http://schoole.allofe.com.

The winners of the School-e Awards will receive donations for the department that manages the district site, recognition, exposure, plaques commemorating the achievement, and feedback from a panel of experts. The School-e awards are hosted by AllofE Solutions, a software company specializing in K-12 software solutions.

A school district Web site is becoming more important as school districts work to develop their own brand, and increase communication between the district and its students, their parents, and the community, said K-12 Product Manager Stacy Schwind.

“The district Web site has now emerged as the single most important vehicle for overall communication and branding,” Schwind said. “Nominate your district's website if you believe that it is worthy of being considered among the best.”

Nominations will close on March 26. A panel of top industry and technology experts will sift through the nominations and chose the 15 finalists for the contest. Voting will then open on April 5 and close April 16. Winners will be announced April 19.

Districts should go to http://schoole.allofe.com to nominate, vote and find out more information about the contest.
